Hållsunga Skafferi is part of our family-run organic dairy and beef farm, located just outside Kärna in the municipality of Kungälv. Our farm has been in the family for six generations and is built on values of sustainability, animal welfare, and honest food production.
In 2022, we opened our farm shop – a natural extension of the work we do on the land. Here, we offer handcrafted products made from our own grass-fed meat and organic milk, along with carefully selected goods from local producers.
We raise our cattle exclusively on grass and herbs – no grains, no shortcuts. This slow-growing method respects the animal’s natural diet and supports biodiversity, healthy soil, and carbon capture. The farm is KRAV-certified, with strict standards for organic and ethical farming. Our animals roam freely indoors during winter and graze outdoors all summer.
Our self-service farm shop is open daily. On weekends, we open a staffed meat counter with fresh cuts and cured meats.
Freshly baked bread is available Fridays and Saturdays, and ready-made meals are offered during certain times of the year.

Payment
Card payments are accepted during staffed opening hours. During self-service hours, payment is available via Swish (a Swedish mobile payment method). No cash accepted
With co-funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and Leader Södra Bohuslän, we’ve made several key investments:
• A modern charcuterie kitchen equipped with tools for grinding, stuffing, and smoking meats – allowing us to produce traditional sausages with a local twist
• A dedicated processing space next to the shop, designed for efficient and hygienic small-scale food production
These projects allow us to deepen our craft, reduce waste, and create more value from what the land already gives us – while staying close to our roots.
